Our Arafah Checklist + A Qurbani Hope

As we approach the final moments of these sacred days, we invite you to pause with us , to reflect, realign, and remember what truly matters.

The Day of Arafah is almost upon us this year, it falls on Thursday 5th June.

The Prophet ﷺ called it “the best day of the year” — a day when Allah comes closest to His servants, answers prayers, and grants forgiveness like no other. SubhanAllah.

In the spirit of this incredible day, here are a few meaningful ways to prepare your heart;

– Fast on the Day of Arafah (9th Dhul Hijjah – Thursday 5th June) The Prophet ﷺ taught that fasting on this day expiates the sins of the past year and the year to come. Two years of forgiveness in return for one day of sincere devotion, a mercy not to be missed.

– Engage in Dhikr & Du’a Keep your tongue soft with remembrance – La ilaha illAllāh, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer. Speak to Allah swt, as if He is near — because on this day, He truly is. Pour out your heart. Make du’a for yourself, your family, the Ummah, and those in need.

– Reconnect With Purpose The days of Dhul Hijjah revive the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), a legacy of surrender, trust, and unwavering love for Allah. As he held nothing back in devotion, let’s take this chance to reflect on our own journey of submission.

Let this Arafah be a turning point. May it be full of forgiveness, clarity, and connection. And as you prepare your Qurbani of hope, may it be a symbol of renewed faith and compassion for those most in need.

From all of us at British Muslim Magazine, Wishing you a heartfelt Arafah and a blessed Eid ahead.
